Message - Minister's Letter

The following is a message that I believe God gave to me for all ministers of the gospel of Christ along with their spouses. I pray that it will be an encouragement to your hearts and ministry!

Luke 22: 28-30 (NIV); "You are those who have stood by Me in My trials. And I confer on you a kingdom, just as My Father conferred one on Me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in My kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV); "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."

I believe the Lord has especially impressed upon my heart for you, the words "I confer on you a kingdom, just as My Father conferred one on Me". Each of us know full well that Christ Himself has called us not only to be His disciples but ministers of His gospel. We have the high honor and privilege of serving in this ministry and administering to others, the riches of Christ’s kingdom! But I believe that this same Jesus Who conferred this call on His disciples and upon you and your spouses some time ago, eagerly desires to remind you specifically of this again in a powerful way! Today!

The Spirit of God desires to confer upon you once again, a mighty bestowing, a granting upon you, His affirmation of His calling on your life and ministry!

Although very vital to our calling, not only does the Spirit of the Lord desire to do this according to the context of Luke 22:7-29, but I believe He also eagerly desires to do something in and through your lives as a result of experiencing the context. Briefly, it was the time of Passover (let your heart and mind run with all that that means to you personally and to your call). Christ's first command to His disciples was, "Go and make Preparation to eat". Then we see the "Partaking of or Participation in His Provision". As they meet together with Jesus, He shares His "Passion"for them (referring to His future sufferings and disciples relationship). Then He offers the "Proof" of His love for them symbolically. He does this with the "Promise" of doing this again with them when His kingdom is fulfilled! In the midst of all of this, Jesus moves on to the reality of dealing with the carnal nature as it comes into our lives and against the advancement of His kingdom, namely: 1) His betrayal attempting to disrupt unity and trust, 2) politics attempting to replace true mission, and 3) jockeying for position attempting to replace true passion for the Cause of Christ's Cross. BUT, Jesus' response was to stress and remind them of the eternal purpose of the "called" re: to serve and walk in His humility together marked by 1) standing by Christ in His Purposes and Passion, and 2) stand by each other in fulfilling the same! As we do this, be assured that God the Father, Jesus the Son and God the Holy Spirit stands with you in the battle you face! As you faithfully carry on the call of Christ and the message of His cross, God stands and fights alongside you in the power of His might! Deuteronomy 20:3-4 (TCE); "Soldiers of Israel, listen to me! "Today" when you go into battle, don't be afraid of the enemy, and when you see them, don't panic. The Lord your God will fight alongside you and help you win the battle."

As vital as it is to the strength, encouragement, validity, credibility, vision, and mission of our call in applying Luke 22: 7-29 to our personal lives is, the heart of the matter is not only how we as disciples are edified qualitatively and quantitatively, but how out of that flows the anointing of God through our lives changing the hearts and lives of the believer and unbeliever.

I challenge you in the Lord to allow the Spirit of the Lord to anoint you in a new, fresh and powerful way, Today. He desires to confer on you a kingdom in such a manner that you will either desire to run away from the ordinary you may find yourself in, and/or you will fearlessly and intensely seek the extraordinary of God in your life and ministry. I challenge you in the Lord to intentionally look at your call as God sees it. I believe it is time to revisit in a new and powerful way that Christ has conferred on us a kingdom that intensely compels and constrains us to specifically, 1) see what God sees, 2) believes that what He says concerning our calling He also has the power to perform it through us and 3) to literally act upon the same for us personally, for our families, our flock and the community we seek to reach. I believe the Lord would have you know "Today" that His Spirit eagerly desires to respond to do this for you! He desires to confer on you a kingdom that is marked by the extraordinary not only in your present state of your service to Him, but also a kingdom marked by your breaking out of the ordinary boundaries that have been set in place and perhaps solidified by past experiences and mindset.

Perhaps in the distant past God imparted to you specific vision within your calling, but over time something has happened to detour, discourage or even defeat your hope of ever seeing it come to pass. If this be true, let The Vision of God Who is Christ pick it up for you, breathe His life into it and infuse you with it's passion again! As you take it up again, believe Him to speak new vision and mission into it.

More specifically, the following Word of God is the kingdom He eagerly desires to confer on you. Luke 4: 18-21; " The Spirit of the Lord is on Me because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed and proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."Today” as you walk by Jesus' side and He walks alongside you, (as He said when He sat down and rolled up the scroll), I believe that this Word will be fulfilled in and through your life!

I don't know what you are facing right now, but I am absolutely convinced that God does. He will be your light and salvation, the strength of your life, so you do not need to fear! Perhaps you're broken in specific places and/or are being held captive by things, people, politics, power struggles, personal struggles, discouragement in not seeing your vision come to fruition to any degree, etc. You can't see what God is trying to show you, you're finding it difficult to believe Him for what He has promised you. Perhaps something has immobilized your God-given calling, vision, and mission. The Spirit of the Lord eagerly desires to come and set you free, “Today”! Let Him. Then you can see what He sees, believe Him at His Word and walk in it! It may not happen over night, but I can assure you it will begin to happen “Today”! That's why practicing Luke 22 and parallel passages is so vital in our encouragement to carrying on.

Bottom line servant of God: The thing that will bring you freedom 1) in your personal life, including relationships, and 2) in your public life and ministry, is to personally come to a place of discovering and experiencing in your every "Today", that the Spirit of the Lord has conferred on you and will continue to confer on you on a daily, moment by moment basis, a kingdom full of the presence, peace, power and purpose of Christ for you! Why? So that you will be free to take that same anointing and confer His kingdom upon countless others!

I pray that every day when you wake up until you lay your head down at night, and even through the night as your heart is at rest in Him; may The Anointed One pronounce upon you the reality of His Words “Today” this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing! So be it.

Finally, and I'll sign off with this. II Corinthians 1:20 says; "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through Him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God." I believe God also wants you to know that He eagerly desires to stamp His "Yes" upon your heart and life "Today". You've heard the "no's" of the enemy of your soul and spirit for far too long and too many times. Now is the time for Christ to place His "Yes" upon your family relationships, church flock relationships, and upon the calling/ministry He has entrusted to you!

Coming Alongside you serving Christ,
